ALAMOND SPANN

Alamond Spann of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway died Sept. 22, 1997, at her home.

Mrs. Spann was born in Sardis, Miss. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she was a missionary and member of the usher board. She was also a member of the Star of the East Tent No. 6.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene Spann; six daughters, Elizabeth Brodnax, Louise Bass, Joella Roberts, Bobby S. Thorne and Waverlyn Wilson, all of Norfolk, Johnnie M. Hobbs of Fort Washington, Md.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; four sons-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church by the Rev. William Davis. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at 1041 Meads Road. The procession will leave from 100 Suburban Parkway on the day of the funeral. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
