Virginia L. Waller, 83, died Sept. 24, 1997, in a local hospital.
She was born in Kinston, N.C. and the widow of James E. Waller. Mrs. Waller was a member of Great Hope Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens Club of Great Bridge.
Survivors include three daughters, Bell W. Stallings of Virginia Beach, Goldie Jones of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Chloe Vance of Chesapeake and 13 grandchildren including Sandra Nesbitt of Chesapeake. She was predeceased by three children, Clara Austin, Elwood Waller and Linwood Waller.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, by the Rev. John W. Godfrey. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and also at 305 Luid Drive, Chesapeake. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
