The government has issued new warnings about the antihistamine Seldane even as it tries to take the drug off the market.
Seldane and Seldane-D, the version that adds a decongestant, should never be taken together with the new blood pressure medicine Posicor because the two can cause a life-threatening reaction, the FDA said Wednesday. Patients with renal problems should not take more than one Seldane or Seldane-D a day, nor should the antihistamine be taken with grapefruit juice, the FDA warned. KEYWORDS: FDA SELDANE
