SANFORD N. PALMER

JO1, Sanford Newman Palmer, 38, U.S. Navy, of the 4100 block of Kalona Road died Thursday, Sept. 25, 1997.

He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., the son of Samuel B. Palmer Jr. and the late Geneva E. Moody.

Survivors include a daughter, Christina Sarah Palmer; six sisters, Yvonne Mitchell Trumbull, Diane Dunham and Samantha Ruiz, all of Connecticut, Jacqueline Palmer of Virginia Beach, Elaine Avery of Chesapeake, Cheryl Palmer of Washington, D.C.; four brothers, Samuel Palmer III of Chesapeake, Floyd Palmer of Washington, D.C., Bernard Palmer and Harold Palmer, both of Virginia Beach. He was predeceased by one brother, Jerome A. Palmer.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Twiford Funeral Home, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, by the assistant minister at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
