CLARA R. FINLEY

Clara Reed Finley, 82, of the 2300 block of Leckie St., died Sept. 26, 1997, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mrs. Finley, a native of Jane Lew, W.Va., was the widow of S. Clifton Finley. She was a retired occupational therapist and had formerly worked at Patrick Henry Hospital in the Denbigh section of Newport News, and Weston Hospital in Weston, W.Va. She was a member of the Portsmouth Emblem Club and Driver Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two daughters, E. Jean Long of Hampton, Shirley W. Perry of Virginia Beach; a stepson, S. William Finley II of Mechanicsville, Va.; three sisters, Dora Smith of Jane Lew, W.Va., Oleta Post of Lost Creek, W.Va., Emmajean Woodson of Jane Lew; two brothers, Elmer L. Reed of Jane Lew, James W. Reed of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Jane F. Flaherty. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Neo-Natal Unit of Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, 601 Children's Lane, Norfolk, Va. 23507. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
