EUGENE J. BOUFFARD SR.

Eugene J. Bouffard Sr., 70, of the 4000 block of Summerset Drive died Thursday, Sept. 26, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mr. Bouffard was retired from the Coast Guard in 1967 and retired from Newport News Shipyard in 1989 as a management material controller. He was a native of Maine, a member of Parkview Disciples of Christ Christian Church, Chesapeake.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sally Joyce Bouffard; daughter, Sandra Robinson and her husband, Bill, of Hampton; three sons, Eugene J. Bouffard Jr. of Virginia Beach, Keith Bouffard and John Bouffard, both of Newport News; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jerry Robinson.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Loving Funeral Home Chapel, Churchland, where Masonic rites will be accorded. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
