MABLE G. WILLIAMS

Mable Virginia Griffin Williams, 83, of River Pointe Rehabilitation Center and formerly of Westminster Ave., passed away Sept. 25, 1997, in Virginia Beach.

Born in Elizabeth City, N.C., she was a longtime member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, and a retired teacher. Mrs. Williams was the widow of Bruce Edward Williams.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Bruce Griffin Williams of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in New Calvary Baptist Church by the Dr. G.G. Campbell Jr. Burial will be in Veterans Memorial Garden, Hampton.
