Howard Thomas Munford Sr., 64, of the 3300 block of Elm Ave. died Sept. 30, 1997, in his residence.
A native of Portsmouth, he was a furniture store owner and retired from the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include four daughters; a son; two stepsons; two sisters; a brother; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Princess Anne Memorial Park by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
