Robert Allen ``Bob'' Gould, 60, died peacefully in his home Sept. 29, 1997.

A native of Portsmouth, he was the son of Ruth Richards-Spillman and the late Earl E. Gould, both of Portsmouth.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Fay Dexter of DeLand, Fla.; two sons, Gary Wayne Gould and his wife, Elizabeth, of Cold Springs, Colo. and Eric Scott Gould and his wife, Cheryl, of Canon City, Colo.; two sisters, Adrienne Gould Wilder and her husband, Willie (Billy), of Portsmouth and Bonnie S. Warren and her husband, Jeff, of Chesapeake; a brother, John C. Richards III of Portsmouth and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Darden Richards of Portsmouth.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach. Services will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Police Association of Virginia, P.O. Box 6376, Chesapeake, Va. 23323. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
