Nina M. Poston, 85, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord on Sept. 29, 1997.
Born in Manns Harbor, N.C., she was self-employed at Poston's Fabric and Sewing Center, the owner-operator of Little Pig's BBQ at Old Dominion University and secretary for E.C. Powell, attorney. Mrs. Poston was a Methodist, past matron of Elizabeth Chapter 45 of the Eastern Star and past queen of the Daughters of the Nile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbern P. Poston Sr.
Survivors include her son, Wilbern P. Poston Jr., and his wife, Millie, of Virginia Beach; two granddaughters, Jeni L. and Laura M. Poston and a grandson, Kris L. Poston, all of Virginia Beach; and other loving relatives.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. W. Hank Brooks. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Woodlawn Funeral Home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
