The body of a man was pulled from the Elizabeth River at Norfolk Naval Station Tuesday morning, Navy officials said.
The body was that of a black male who was wearing civilian clothing. He was spotted about 8 a.m. near Pier 10.
The body was sent to the state medical examiner's office for identification and an autopsy.
Officials could not say Tuesday whether the body was that of Darrell Terry, who has been missing since a weekend boating accident on the James River.
Leon Straus, who was wearing a life jacket, survived the accident near the Ragged Island Wildlife Refuge and was picked up just before 3 p.m. Saturday.
The body of Steve Wilson, one of two men with him, was found about three hours later. A Coast Guard search for Terry was suspended Saturday night.
All three men were from Richmond. Straus told rescuers that the 19-foot boat had been taking on water before it capsized. He said he was the only one wearing a life jacket and was rescued by a passing boater.
