Ladonia Wiggins Arrington, 95, entered into eternal rest Sept. 30, 1997, in Sentara Health Center, Chesapeake, where she had lived and was superbly cared for since 1987.
She was born in Halifax County, N.C., and relocated to Norfolk upon the death of her husband, Frank Arrington Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, James of Norfolk, Shirley of North Carolina; seven daughters, Olivia Ricks of Norfolk, Eulah Alston of North Carolina, Ortra Price of Baltimore, Md., Virginia Bridges, Mary Goodwyn, Levonia Hamilton, Susie Wilson of Connecticut; a sister, Iona Spriggs of Norfolk; three daughters-in-law, Beaulah, Mildred, Coralie Arrington; two sons-in-law, Robert Alston and Willie Wilson. She is also survived by 44 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and 45 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four sons, three daughters, two sisters and four brothers.
Friends are invited to view the body at Graves Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by Dr. Robert Murray. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
