George Tunstall ``Buddy'' Church Jr., 59, of the 1000 block of Commonwealth Place died Sept. 30, 1997, in BJC Medical Center, Commerce, Ga.

Born in Norfolk, he was a truck driver for Hornady Truck Lines Inc. for 22 years. He was a Quaker.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Margaret A. Church; a daughter, Sharon E. Fuller of Summerville, S.C.; four sons, David C. Gold of New York City, Philip E. Gold of Tampa, Gary W. Church of Richmond and Glenn A. Church of Virginia Beach; mother, Mary C. Church of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mary Lee Smith of Virginia Beach, Marion C. Davis of York, Pa.; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters, Sherry L. Church and Susan L. Church.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Dennis Seaver. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
