CLARIFICATION

The Max restaurant is alive on the downtown Portsmouth waterfront. A Sept. 16 Business News story about The Jewish Mother's plan to move to the old Seaboard Building on High Street caused some confusion about status of The Max. The Seaboard was The Max's former location. Five years ago, the restaurant moved to 425 Water St., at the foot of London Boulevard. Charles Sears, owner of The Max, said some people thought his restaurant was being taken over by The Jewish Mother. Not so.``We definitely are open,'' he said. KEYWORDS: CORRECTION
