Luke Vernon Walston, 97, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 1997, in a Chesapeake nursing home.
He formerly resided in Moyock on South Mills Road.
He is survived by two sisters, Annie Lucas and Willie May Styles; a niece and her husband, Marion Bullock and Winslow G. Bullock Sr.; and a supportive nephew, Clifton D. Cabarras, all of Chesapeake; and other nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Pilgrim Journey A.M.E. Zion Church with burial following in the Styles Family Cemetery, Moyock. Robinson & Son Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
