O.B. THEVENIN

Ormon B. Thevenin, 93, of the 100 block of Appomattox Ave. died Friday, Oct. 3, 1997, in Suffolk.

A native of Gallopolis, Ohio, he was an aviation metalsmith from 1941 to 1946 for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and from 1946 to 1972 for the Naval Air Station. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church, Western Branch Senior Citizens and a Boy Scout Troop Leader for 20 years.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas L. Thevenin and wife, Bonnie, of Orange Park, Fla., Tobie L. Thevenin and wife, Harriett, and Terry L. Thevenin and wife, Mary, all of Suffolk; and three grandchildren, James W. Thevenin, Mindy Thevenin and Chris Morgan.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Kevin Wilson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
