CHARLES D. GENTILINI

Charles D. Gentilini of the 3000 block of Moore Road died Friday, Oct. 3, 1997, in his residence.

He was a native of Roanoke, Va., and had retired as a pipefitter from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he received two Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and three Bronze Service Stars.

Survivors include his wife, Doris S. Gentilini; a daughter, Maria Albrecht, and her husband, Bill, of Portsmouth; two sons, the Rev. Charles Michael Gentilini and his wife, Gloria, and the Rev. Don James Gentilini and his wife, Rose, all of Portsmouth; a sister, Ann Bisogne of Metuchen, N.J.; and six grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Chapel, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Nelson F. Fields Jr., with entombment in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Missions at Living Waters Christian Fellowship, P.O.
