BEATRICE C. HERMELIN

Beatrice C. Hermelin, 83, of Springmeadow Boulevard died Oct. 4, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Hermelin was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and longtime Norfolk resident. She was a member of Temple Israel in Norfolk, its sisterhood, the Hadassah and the Womens American ORT.

Retired many years from a family business, she devoted much of her time to caring for her family and to her love for painting. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Al J. Hermelin; four children, Ronnie Moscovitz, Harvey Hermelin, Rebecca Hermelin and Dr. Mark Hermelin; a sister, Adeline Greenberg; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A Chapel service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz and Cantor Yael Fischman. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at 1800 Springmeadow Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 360 South Port Circle, Suite 104, Virginia Beach, 23452 or Temple Israel, 7255 Granby St., Norfolk, 23505.
