CLARENCE W. HOLLIDAY

Clarence W. Holliday, 91, a native of Jamesville, N.C., died Sept. 30, 1997, in Maryview Nursing Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Bridges Holliday.

Mr. Holliday retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in 1952 after having served 31 years. He was an Elder Emeritus of Park View Christian Church, an avid fisherman, amateur operator (WMEF), and a versatile organist.

He was survived by a stepdaughter, Ruth Lee Wooldridge, and her husband, Bob, of Virginia Beach; two step-grandchildren, Sandra Lee Paxson and her husband, Nicholas, and Robert W. Wooldridge Jr. and his wife, Jacqueline, of Herndon, Va.; and five step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted in Park View Christian Church at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, by the Revs. Marilyn and Robert Danner. Memorial donations may be made to the Living Endowment Fund of Park View Christian Church, 3201 Western Branch Blvd. or a charity of your choice. A private burial was held earlier this week. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
