Ernest Smith, 46, of the 1000 block of Godfrey Ave. died Oct. 3, 1997.
Born in Norfolk, he was a former employee of Pabst Brewery Co. He was predeceased by his parents, Clara and Willie Lee Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Smith; seven daughters, Kathy M. Wilson, Alvita Wilson, Annetta Wilson, Clara Wilson, Vanessa Wilson, Marvette Norman, and Antionette Lyons, all of Norfolk; two sons, Ernest Wilson and Shawn Norman, both of Norfolk; 17 sisters; 10 brothers; 12 grandchildren; and a stepfather, Ernest Ruffin of Boston, Mass.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mt. Hermon Christ Disciples Church by the Rev. Joseph Daniels. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
