SENA L. EGGLESTON

Sena Lyles Eggleston, 91, of the 1600 block of Hawthorne Drive died Oct. 6, 1997.

Born in Rowan County, N.C., she was a longtime resident of Keysville, Va., before moving to Chesapeake. She was a retired shoemaker, a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Virginia Beach, and the widow of Edward B. Eggleston.

Survivors include her daughter, Isabelle E. Biggers of Chesapeake; two sisters, Lelia Bolin of China Grove, N.C., and Fannie Simmons of Kannapolis, N.C.; five brothers, Arthur Lyles of Keysville, Va., Louis Lyles of Kernersville, N.C., Charlie Lyles of California, Joseph Lyles of Landis, N.C., and the Rev. John Lyles of Alabama; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Church of God of Prophecy by the Rev. J. Milton Atkins. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. The body will be sent from Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, to Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove, N.C., where a visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with burial in West Lawn Memorial Park.
