John Kenny Mendoza, 33, of the 300 block of Twilley St., died Sunday Oct. 5, 1997, in his home.
Mr. Mendoza was born in Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville, Fla., and was a 32-year resident of Norfolk. Known to his family and friends as ``JK,'' he graduated from Granby High School, attended Norfolk State University and worked as a mechanic and warehouse manager for Brauner Equipment Co. Inc. in Norfolk.
Survivors include his parents, George and Fe Mendoza; his godparents, Carlos and Ping Soltes; three brothers, George, Joy and Ivan; three sisters, Psyche, Maisie and Lyddy; three nephews, Giovanni, Zachary and Harley; and a niece, Kirsten.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and at their home following the burial. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
