Nancy Elizabeth Cochrane Grisham, 50, died Oct. 5, 1997.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., she was a collector for The Finance Co. Mrs. Grisham was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, sang in the church choir and assisted her husband in his ministry. She was the leader of Colonial Coast Girl Scouts No. 394 for 17 years. She was a past president of Meriwether Society Inc., vice president of Daughters of the American Revolution, Windsor Woods service manager and ombudsman of the Navy Wives for seven years.
Survivors include her husband, Dick E. Grisham; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Stickle and husband, Hugh Forrest, of Norfolk, and Susan Diana Moon and husband, Robert Lee, of Chesapeake; father, James E. Cochrane Sr. and mother, Ruth Cochrane, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Barbara Ann Hyler of Midlothian, Va.; a brother, James E. Cochrane Jr. of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Hugh Herman Stickle, Brackan Yancey Stickle, Dakota Lee Moon and Christianna Elizabeth Marie Stickle.
A funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in New Life Christian Fellowship Church by Pastor Dan Backens. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
