MILDRED F. PIKE

Mildred Louise Foca Pike, 53, of the 300 block of Brookrun Chase, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997. After a courageous struggle with cancer, the Great Physician allowed a peaceful exit from this world and a glorious entrance into Canaan.

Mrs. Pike was born in Norfolk and was the daughter of Marguerite Russell Foca and the late Americus Charles Foca. She was the general office manager for Lumber City and was a charter member of Great Bridge Free Will Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, served as church clerk and was active in the choir.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Glen Pike; two daughters, Christina Louise Erman and husband, Michael Todd, of Chesapeake and Tracy Pike Dunn and husband, Michael, of Raleigh, N.C.; three sisters, Joan Schragle and husband, John, of Norfolk, Minnie Frizzell and husband, Jimmy, of Chesapeake, and Sherry Massie and husband, Archie, of Lowesville, Va.; two brothers, Alfred William Foca and wife, Becky, of Virginia Beach and Charles Edward Foca and wife, Joyce, of Lexington Park, Md. Survivors also include her in-laws, Frances and Randall Pike of Virginia Beach; sister-in-law, Judy Haller and husband, Roger, of Lake City, Fla., sister-in-law, Carolyn Lauer and husband, Chuck, of Warrenton, Va.; brother-in-law Thomas R. Pike and wife, Kristi, of Chesapeake; grandson, Brandon Joshua Erman; seven nieces, nine nephews and two great-nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Great Bridge Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. Hal Jones. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge.
