Walter Ray Grandison, 73, departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1997, at Obici Hospital, Suffolk.
He was retired from Gwaltney's of Smithfield. He was a member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church and Teamsters Retirees Chapter No. 822. He was the widower of Gracie Green Grandison.
Surviving are his devoted daughter, Queenette Faye Grandison of the home; three brothers, Joe Nathan Grandison and William Grandison, both of Portsmouth, and Johnny Grandison of Deep Creek; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Nebo Baptist Church by the Rev. Daniel Baltimore. Interment will be in Mount Ray Cemetery. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Poole's Funeral Home, Surry. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
