Dawson C. Charity, 73, of the 900 block of E. Princess Anne Road died Oct. 7, 1997, in DePaul Medical Center.
A native of Norfolk, he was the son of the late Herman Sr. and Bessie Hart Charity. He was a custodian for Old Dominion University.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Charity; a brother, Herman Charity Jr. of Chesapeake; an uncle, O.D. Charity; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Riddick Funeral Service Chapel by the Rev. Carlisle Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 2 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home for the services. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
