Ruben ``Cowboy Steve'' Stephens Jr., 56, of the 1500 block of Highland Ave. died Oct. 3, 1997. He was born in Stoney Creek, Va.
Survivors include his wife, Shearer Stephens; five sisters, Mary Lancaster of Portsmouth, Jean Overby of Arlington, Texas, Joyce Bready of Washington, D.C., Brenda Bullock of Killian, Texas, Donna Weathers of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, Horace Stephens and Ronnie Stephens, both of Portsmouth; and a host of other relatives and friends.
