YVONNE L. THOMAS

Yvonne Loloma Gibson Thomas, 71, a loving wife and mother, went to be with her Lord Oct. 8, 1997, after battling lung cancer. She died peacefully at her home. She was born at Honolulu, Hawaii, and she resided in Virginia Beach for the last 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Vonnie Lehr and Patricia Thomas.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 54 years, Frederick L. Thomas Sr.; her children, Elizabeth Floyd, Barbara Coburn, Fred Thomas Jr., Susan Taylor, Tina Cady, and Bruce Thomas; a sister, Della Bowthorpe; brothers, Frank Gibson and Eddie Gibson; her grandchildren include, Kathy King, Kevin Floyd, Teresa Coburn, Mark Coburn, Amy McIntyre, Amber Thomas, Jack Taylor, Jeff Taylor, Michael Lehr, Jason Lehr, Heather Lehr, Melissa Cady, Sam Cady, Jacob Cady, Austin Thomas; her great-grandchildren include Blake Coburn, Alexis Coburn, Genee Coburn and Lauren McIntyre.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Rosewood Memorial Park. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
