Cleo D. Holman, 61, of the 600 block of Jefferson St., died Oct. 5, 1997, in her home.
Born in Nansemond County, Va., she was the widow of Samuel Holman. She was a past member of Noble Street Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a daughter, MyearYang (Rolandus) Garner of Portsmouth; a son, Andre A. DeLoatch Sr. of Portsmouth; mother, Pearl Evins of Suffolk; two sisters, Marie Mayfield of Suffolk and Helen Knight of Richmond; three brothers, Tousant Evins and Calvin Evins, both of Portsmouth, and Atren Evins of Richmond; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. James Williams Jr. Burial will be in Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Suffolk. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The family will be at the home of her daughter, MyearYang Garner, 2919 Turnpike Road, Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the service.
