DAVID I. BABCOCK

David Ian Babcock, 33, died Oct. 8, 1997, at the Medical College of Virginia.

He was a civil service worker for the Public Works Center, N.O.B. He was born in New York City and was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach.

Survivors include his parents, Camille M. Babcock and Donald E. Babcock of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Cmdr. Donald E. Babcock of Springfield, Va., and Thomas M. Babcock of Hampton.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, by Fr. John Peck. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. A wake service will be held in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, at 7 p.m. today followed by a visitation until 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America Tidewater Council, 1032 Heatherwood Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455.
