Selma E. Mize, 86, of the 900 block of London Blvd. died Oct. 9, 1997.
She was a native of Asheville, N.C., and a member of Alexander Baptist Church. She was the widow of Harold W. Mize Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Currie and husband, Jim, of Portsmouth; three sons, Harold W. Mize Jr. of Yulee, Fla., Richard C. Mize of Newport News, Carl C. McGinley of Jacksonville, Fla.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
