At the Peanut Fest's opening day in Suffolk on Thursday,

festival-goers were looking for fun, and a chance to unwind in the

warm weather. At left, Cindy Sanford, left, and Carson Munday are

TODAY AT PEANUT FEST

Suffolk Municipal Airport. Parking, $5 per vehicle.

Follow the signs on major roads into Suffolk, including U.S. 13,

58 and 460.

10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Festival site open.

All day: amusements and entertainment

'Til noon: Kiddie Day, family area; Senior Day, activities tent.

Free, including parking

10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.: School entertainment, peanut stage

6:30 to 10:45 p.m. Continuous musical entertainment

7:30 p.m. Nationwide Demolition Derby, arena area

8 to 11 p.m. Bingo, activities tent
