EDITH S. TUCKER

Edith Seaborn Tucker, 86, of the 4000 block of Bart St., died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997, in a local hospital.

A native of Grizzard, Va., she had retired after 31 years as a schoolteacher with the city of Portsmouth. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Churchland Women's Club and Portsmouth Travel Club.

Survivors include a son, James W. Tucker and wife, Ellen, of Chesapeake; a grandson, Norman Tucker and wife, Janet; and great-granddaughter, Morgan Leigh.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Harry B. Spear. Entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times at 1519 Jolliff Road, Chesapeake. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
