Francis George ``Dave'' Walsh, 69, of the 1200 block of Wilroy Road, died Oct. 10, 1997, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.
A native of Revere, Mass., he was a retired insurance agent with United Insurance and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Walsh was a member of St. Mary Church of Presentation, D.A.V. Chapter No. 5, and the Suffolk Moose Lodge. He was the son of the late John T. Walsh and Mary Doyle Walsh.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Carroll Walsh; three sons, two daughter-in-laws, and four grandchildren, David Wayne and Mary Ann Walsh and their children, David Joseph, and Amy of Huntington, W.Va., Gary R. and Judy Walsh and their daughter, Ashley, of Suffolk, Va., Keith F. Walsh and his son, Michael, of Suffolk; a sister, Helene W. Gorman of Lexington, Mass.; six nieces and eight nephews.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Church of the presentation by Fr. Thomas B. Nee. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family at the Hill Funeral Home from 6:30 to 7:30 Sunday for visitation and Christian Wake Service to be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 902 Pennsylvania Ave., Suffolk, Va. 23434 or Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O.
