ROBERT M. MOORE JR.

Robert M. Moore Jr., 86, died Oct. 11, 1997.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he retired from the park police with Fair-Mount Park, Philadelphia, after 10 years and also had served 26 1/2 years at the Norfolk Naval Air Station. Mr. Moore was a member of Charity United Methodist Church as a Men's Bible school teacher, lay leader and member of the choir. He was a member of the American Legion, Beach Shrine Club, Khedive Temple, Corinthian Masonic Lodge No. 266, Norfolk Royal Arch, Knights Templer-Commandery Knights Temple No. 16. He served in World War II as a shore patrolman.

Survivors include his wife, Lavina E. Moore; a daughter, Beverly Williams of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may join the family at the home of Beverly Williams, 4620 Old Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
