MILDRED G. ERICSON

Mildred G. Ericson, 92, of Honey Brook, Pa., and formerly of Glen Mills, died Monday Oct. 13, 1997, at Tel-Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook Twp., Pa.

She was the widow of Major Joseph H. Ericson Sr. Born in Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Eva Campbell Ollice, and had lived in the Tel-Hai Retirement Community, Honey Brook, for the past five years. Previously she had lived in Glen Mills for 20 years, Chambersburg, Pa. from 1945 to 1953 and Portsmouth until 1945.

She devoted her time to raising five children and baby-sitting 14 grandchildren. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and gardening. She made afghans for her entire family and maintained a journal of her activities almost daily.

Survivors include four sons, Joseph H. Ericson Jr. of West Chester, Pa., Robert J. Ericson of Chambersburg, David R. Ericson of Newark, Del., Karl L. Ericson of Wilmington, Del.; a daughter, Gloria Mae Edwards of Wilmington; a brother, Frank Ollice of Portsmouth; a sister, Margaret Tracey of Portsmouth; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Stephen C. Ericson; a brother, Edward Ollice; two sisters, Mary Alice Charlton and Gertrude.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Ralston and Bredickas Funeral Home, Downington, Pa. Interment will be in Elam UM Cemetery, Glen Mills. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
