NAMON L. CARRINGTON JR.

Namon L. Carrington Jr., of the 3900 block of Bunch Walnut Road, died Oct. 12, 1997.

Born in Princess Anne County, he was a self-employed contractor.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice M. Carrington; a daughter, Sandra Edwards of Suffolk; three sons, Namon L. Carrington III, Quinn Carrington, James Carrington, all of Chesapeake; five sisters, Aretha Ricks, Erma McCoy, Margaret Mandley, all of Virginia Beach, Diane Medley, Sharlene Gilchrist, both of Norfolk; a brother, James Carrington of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Saint Andrews A.M.E. Church by the Rev. Raymond Pittman. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be at 1033 Carrington Ave., Virginia Beach. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
