Henriette H. Meert, 72, died Oct. 12, 1997, in her residence.
Born in Semarang, Indonesia, she was a member of Thoroughgood Garden Club, Dutch Club of Tidewater and the French Club.
Survivors include her husband, Hugo J. ``Bob'' Meert; three daughters, Renee Sinkez of Woodbridge, Va., Irene Toler of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Henriette Olsson of Sweden; and five grandchildren.
A private service will be held. Family will be at the residence from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday to greet friends at 4724 Thoroughgood Drive, Virginia Beach. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders, 20 Koger Center, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
