STABBING WITH A BARBECUE FORK FATAL TO MAN, 62, IN PORTSMOUTH

A 62-year-old man was fatally stabbed with a barbecue fork on Monday morning during an argument with another man, police said.

Police received the call for the stabbing about 1:35 a.m. in the 800 block of Argyle St. When they arrived, they found Harrison C. Brown, of the same address, suffering a stab wound in his chest.

Brown was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested Jimmy Ray Crowder, 36, of the 2500 block of Chestnut St., and charged him with murder.

Police did not say what caused the argument between the two men. KEYWORDS: STABBING MURDER
