Ethel Oast Speers, 75, of Crickett Hollow Lane died Oct. 14, 1997, in her home.
Born in Portsmouth, she was the widow of H.W. Grady Speers Jr. She was a member of Churchland Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Grady Speers III and wife, Linda, and George Oast Speers of Chesapeake; a sister, Audrey Gaskins of Portsmouth; and two grandsons, Brandon T. Speers and Scott R. Speers.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at 3415 Crickett Hollow Lane, Chesapeake. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Churchland Baptist Church by Dr. R. Clint Hopkins. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
