Margaret Shepard Martin, 86, of Greenbriar Street died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 1997, at Maryview Nursing Care Center, Suffolk.
A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Martin was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a charter member and past matron of Liberty Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Martin Sr.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James T. Martin Jr. and Sandra Martin; and two grandchildren, Steven Christensen and Julie Thomas.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church.
