Garfield Justice Sr., 82, of the 400 block of Beacon Road, died Oct. 16, 1997, in a local hospital.
A native of Warsaw, N.C., he was owner and operator of Justice and Sons Tire Service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie W. Justice; a daughter, Janet Salas of Suffolk; three sons, Garfield Justice Jr., Keith Justice and Jason Justice, all of Portsmouth; a sister, Beatrice Howsare of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Nelson F. Fields Jr. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, and other times at the residence. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
