MARIE R. GEARHEART

Marie Rossano Gearheart, of the 600 block of Virginia Ave., died Oct. 17, 1997, in her residence.

A lifelong resident of Norfolk, Mrs. Gearheart was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mrs. Gearheart was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon J. Gearheart, 20 years to the day. She was the daughter of the late Rocco and Antionette Rossano.

Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Hutcheson and her husband, Ray, of Virginia Beach, Diane Yungk and her husband, Don, Joyce Barnes and her husband, Walter, all of Chesapeake; a son, Gordon ``Jim'' Gearheart of Norfolk; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Edward Richardson. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home and at 5917 Woodhaven Court, Virginia Beach, following the visitation and funeral service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
