Frederick W. Beneze, 79, died Oct. 17, 1997 in a hospital.
Mr. Beneze was born in Alton, Ill., and was retired from Rockwell International as a senior field service rep. He was a decorated U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II in England, Italy and North Africa. He was a member of the 301st Bomb Group, 32nd Squadron from April 15, 1942, until May 9, 1945. He was honorably discharged on May 30, 1945. He was also a mechanic and flight engineer for Western Airlines.
Survivors include his wife, Therese A. Beneze; two daughters, Kathleen Trask and husband, Roger, of Virginia Beach, Patricia Cathy and husband, S. Robert, of Chesapeake; a son, Frederick W. Beneze Jr. and wife, Clarissa, of Virginia Beach; three sisters, June Walker of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Mora Lou Kenyon of Tulsa, Okla., and Etta Schlobohm of Peach Tree City, Ga.; two brothers, George Beneze of Sierra Vista and Jim Beneze of Seattle; and eight grandchildren, Ryan, Steven, Timothy, Taylor, Charlotte, Joseph, Sean and Carly. He was predeceased by his mother, Alice Swift Beneze; father, Leo Ernest Beneze; sisters, Nellie B. Organic and Jesse Beneze; and brothers, Butch Beneze and Leo Beneze.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by Fr. Edward L. Richardson. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Plaza Volunteer Rescue Squad, 3610 S. Plaza Trail, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452.
