Ruby P. Votsis, 68, of the 200 block of E. Chester St., died Oct. 19, 1997.
A native of Norfolk, she was born Oct. 4, 1929, and was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Norfolk. After retiring from the GE plant, she worked for Medaphis Inc. as a medical claims representative. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve A. Votis, and two brothers, Harry and Willie Andrew Perkinson.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna R. Saunders of Dinwiddie County, Va.; a son, John T. Ramsey Jr. of Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Virginia Jackson of Portsmouth; a stepson, Anthony S. Votsis of St. Simmons Island, Ga.; a sister, Jo Ann Fitchett of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two brothers, Hiram Perkinson of Chesapeake and Charles Perkinson of Portsmouth; a companion, Thomas Booker of Norfolk; and 13 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Norfolk chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Association. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
