Marlene Jane Colson, 64, of the 800 block of Morgan Trail died Oct. 16, 1997, in Norwood, Ala.

Born in Acosta, Pa., she was the widow of Shaffer S. Colson.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Ruth Crenshaw of Mobile, Ala.; five sons, James R. Tall of Hunlock Creek, Pa., Arthur O. Tall of Egg Harbor, N.J., Brian K. Tall of Indiana, Pa., Preston S. Colson of Sumner, Wash., Garland W. Colson of Elizabeth City, N.C.; three sisters, Shirley Williams and Connie Knopsnyder, both of Boswell, Pa., Kay Putman of Knotts Island, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel.
