Eura V. Pearce Kavanaugh, 89, died Oct. 20, 1997, in Sentara Nursing Center, Norfolk.
Mrs. Kavanaugh was a native of Evergreen, La., and a resident of Virginia Beach since 1962. She was the daughter of the late Stephen Samuel Pearce and Eura Voorhies Pearce and was the widow of J. Gordon Kavanaugh. She was a member of Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, a past regent of the Avoyelles Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a former member of the Princess Anne Country Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn K. Rogers and her husband, Henry M. Rogers Jr. M.D., and Martha K. Stokes and her husband, T. Lane Stokes, M.D.; her grandchildren, Amy R. Swink and her husband, Randolph S. Swink, Elaine P. Rogers and her husband, Brendan T. Hayes, Henry M. Rogers III and his wife, Martha S. Rogers, Thomas Lane Stokes Jr. and his wife, Selina B. Stokes, J. Randolph Stokes and his wife, Kelly O. Stokes, Gordon K. Stokes M.D., Kerri M. Stokes M.D., and Ann Pearce Stokes and her husband, James R.B. Morrison III; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. Scott E. Davis on Thursday, October 23, 1997, at noon at Nimmo United Methodist Church Cemetery, Virginia Beach. Memorial donations may be made to Nimmo United Methodist Church or to a charity of the donor's choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, will be handling the arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
