DOROTHY H. SMITH

Dorothy M. Heart Smith, 47, of 1412 Elm Ave., died Oct. 15, 1997, at the 1400block of Elm Ave., Portsmouth.

A native of Portsmouth, she was a former security guard for Ascom Security. She attended Mount Zinia Holiness Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Smith; a daughter, Felicia Smith of Chesapeake; two sons, Jerome Smith and Shawn Smith, both of Chesapeake; four sisters, Eva Mae Rogers, Sylvia Halcolm and Jeanette Armstead, all of Portsmouth, and Rita Jean Williams of Chesapeake; seven brothers, Henry Heart Jr., Willie Lee Heart and Floyd C. Heart, all of Portsmouth, Leslie P. Heart of Charlottesville, Va., Arthur King Heart of Chesapeake, Larry E. Heart of Norfolk and Columbus Heart of Virginia Beach; a grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by Evangelist Mable Heart. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today at the funeral home, where the family will be from 5 to 6 p.m. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday for the service.
