WENDELL M. PEELE SR.

Wendell McCoy ``Demp'' Peele Sr., 61, of the 1000 block of Gaslight Lane diedOct. 19, 1997, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.

Born in Norfolk, he was a truck driver for Moore's and a member of Mount Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Lee Peele; two daughters, Sheila G. Tutt of Greensboro, N.C., Lisa P. Lee of Washington, D.C.; three sons, Reginald B. Peele of Greensboro, Wendell M. Peele Jr. of Virginia Beach, Jeffrey W. Peele of Newport News; a brother, Leslie M. Bailey; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and special best friends, Noble Lee Whitney of Washington, D.C., and Brother Williams.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by Kim Brown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
