RUBY E. GWALTNEY

Ruby Edwards Gwaltney, 95, of 105 Red Point Drive, died Oct. 21, 1997, in Suffolk.

She was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Sarah W. Edwards and the widow of Clyde A. Gwaltney.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and its Pansy Johnson Circle.

She is survived by sisters-in-law, Lucille M. Gwaltney and Bertha A. Edwards; nephews and nieces, Cecil W. Gwaltney Jr., F. Maynard Gwaltney, Janice E. Holland, Alease S. Gourley, Sara E. Stallings, F.G. Edwards and Russell D. Edwards.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Joseph Savinsky. Memorial donations may be made to Ivy Hill Cemetery, c/o William C. Johnson, 7 Wenley Circle, Smithfield, Va. 23430 or a favorite charity. The family will be at the residence, 105 Red Point Drive, Smithfield.
